Un groupe de clercs et de laïcs catholiques lance un appel filial demandant le retrait de "Fiducia Supplicans".

Depuis la publication de cet appel filial, un évêque, plus de 100 prêtres et des centaines d'universitaires catholiques du monde entier ont ajouté leur signature. Les organisateurs ont eu du mal à suivre les centaines de signataires qu'ils ont reçus, mais une liste complète sera bientôt publiée.

Un groupe de 90 prêtres, universitaires et auteurs catholiques ont lancé un appel filial aux cardinaux et aux évêques, leur demandant d'interdire immédiatement l'application de Fiducia Supplicans dans leurs diocèses et de demander au pape François de "retirer d'urgence" ce document.
Dans une déclaration (texte intégral ici) publiée en la fête de la Présentation du Seigneur, les signataires affirment que la déclaration, qui a approuvé la bénédiction, dans certaines limites, des couples de même sexe et d'autres personnes vivant des relations non conformes à l'enseignement de l'Église, est en "opposition directe" avec la doctrine traditionnelle de l'Église sur le mariage, en dépit de ses affirmations contraires.
Soulignant les nombreuses conférences épiscopales, confréries de prêtres et autres qui se sont publiquement opposées à la déclaration du Vatican depuis sa publication le 18 décembre, les signataires affirment que "jamais dans l'histoire de l'Église catholique un document du Magistère romain n'a fait l'objet d'un rejet aussi fort".
En revanche, ils soulignent que le document a été "très favorablement accueilli par les quelques épiscopats et prélats qui, depuis des décennies, préconisent ouvertement un changement de la doctrine sur la moralité sexuelle".
Les signataires reprochent à la déclaration de proposer une pastorale qui "ne correspond pas à la doctrine", ce qui conduit à enseigner une "doctrine différente". La doctrine traditionnelle de l'Église, soulignent-ils, doit être considérée comme infaillible et immuable puisqu'elle est "confirmée par l'Écriture et la Tradition" et qu'elle est une "doctrine de la loi naturelle, qui ne permet aucun changement".
Une bénédiction, poursuivent-ils, est un "signe naturel" d'"approbation de ce qui est béni", et ils rejettent les tentatives de la déclaration de différencier un "couple" d'une "union" puisqu'un "couple est un couple en raison de l'union qui lui donne existence". Ils affirment également que l'insistance de la déclaration pour que la bénédiction ne soit pas une cérémonie liturgique "ne change pas la nature de l'acte, puisque le geste central et essentiel demeure".
De telles bénédictions, avertissent les signataires, transmettent au monde que ces relations sont désormais "acceptables pour Dieu" et que l'Église catholique "a finalement évolué et accepte désormais les unions homosexuelles et, plus généralement, les unions extraconjugales".
Le rejet généralisé du document dans l'Église est donc justifié, affirment-ils. Ce qui n'est "absolument pas justifiable", ajoutent-ils, c'est que les cardinaux et les évêques "restent silencieux", permettant ainsi l'amplification d'un scandale qui est déjà "grave et public" et dont l'erreur vient du Saint-Siège.
Surtout, ils avertissent que "les petits, les simples fidèles" sont scandalisés "qui n'ont aucun moyen de s'orienter et de se défendre contre cette confusion".
C'est pourquoi ils "implorent avec ferveur" les cardinaux et les évêques d'accomplir deux tâches : "Interdire immédiatement l'application de ce document" dans leurs diocèses, et demander "directement" au Pape de "retirer d'urgence ce malheureux document" qui "produit manifestement un grave scandale".
Le Pape, concluent-ils, a "besoin d'urgence" d'une "correction fraternelle" dans l'espoir de "sauver son pontificat et sa propre personne d'une tache qui pourrait autrement peser sur lui de manière indélébile, non seulement dans l'histoire, mais dans l'éternité".

Bravo pour ce combat.
J'aime le dernier paragraphe. On ose trop peu parler de cette conséquence pour François, or jusqu'à présent c'est bien dans cette voie qu'il persiste.

L'avantage de cette Déclaration est qu'elle produit l'effet que, de toute évidence, le Seigneur attend de son Eglise : chacun se positionne, pour ou contre une pastorale en accord avec la doctrine ! L'ivraie et le bon grain se séparent de plus en plus. Et rien que pour ça il nous faut rendre grâce au Seigneur pour ce pontificat. François est un signe de contradiction dont le but est de pousser chaque coeur à se révéler, comme le prophétisait Siméon à Marie !
